Michel Legrand is looking forward to another year of touring the world!

Today we are announcing some dates in January..

On the 16th January 2013, Michel will be in Chaville, France.

Then on 19th January 2013 he will be performing in Belgorod, Russia.

We can also announce that Michel Legrand will be performing special concerts in London on 27th, 28th and 29th of January as part of his 80th Birthday Tour.

We’ll be announcing this iconic venue very soon.

More dates are currently being confirmed and we hope to be able to announce them in the near future.

At a press conference held before his 80th birthday concert in the land of his mother’s family, Michel talked about his work on his first ballet and his intentions to write a second one soon. ” I don’t feel my age. That’s no obstacle for me,” Legrand stated at the press conference. Clearly. Those of us who work with him know this. He never stops. Even with more than 200 film and tv scores to his name, as well as many musicals, he is currently working on new symphonic works as commissioned by Vladimir Spivakov and the Philadelphia orchestra.

Michel Legrand will be performing a special symphony concert with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra at Aram Khahaturian Concert Hall this Saturday evening (20 October 2012) at 7pm.

Michel’s 80th Birthday Tour stopped off in Oman last week for a special performance at the Royal Opera House, Muscat.

We’ve just discovered a wonderful  review of the concert which was published in The Times of Oman on Saturday. Apparently Michel “cast his spell” and “charmed” the audience while playing, in his own words, “a few songs I’ve written in my short years!”
